Son John and the 4-4-2 in 1979
I bought this car at the 1977 fall national car show held in Hershey PA by the Antique Automobile Club of America. It had been brought to the show by a car dealer from NC. I was really looking for a Pontiac GTO for my son but none were available. I had arrived at the show on thursday and when my family met me at the show on Saturday, I immediately took them to see the 4-4-2. When I asked my son if we should buy it he immediately forgot about GTO's and said yes.
The car was in good condition and was original with the exception of a new Imron paint job and new top. It had been owned by an adult and had not been abused as so many muscle cars are. It had all the goodies:
On the 3 hour drive home our new toy proved to be as good as it looked. My son was ecstatic when it came his turn to take the wheel. In 1998 a friend approached me about buying the 4-4-2 but when I mentioned it to my wife she told me to forget it in no uncertain terms. I guess we'll keep it.
I hope you enjoyed looking at our 4-4-2 and I welcome your comments.
